In order to be set free from our sins, we have to first acknowledge that we are sinners. God alone sets the standard for how we, mankind should conduct our lives. He determines what sin is or isn't because He is the creator. He (Jesus) desires to set us free from the bondage of sin. Let us confess all today and allow Him to set us free and walk in His truth.

Today's H.O.P.E. - Walk in True Fellowship!

In today's society, many people have an "Anything goes" mentality as it pertains to belief systems. We as Christians believe and know that there is none other than Christ Jesus our Lord! He is the Devine One. He is not in the grave. He is risen! He is alive forever more. He is the redeemer of the soul of man! Therefore, there is a standard for communing with Him and allowing His redemptive power to work in our lives. We must walk in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7). Darkness represents everything that He is not!

Today's H.O.P.E. - He Preserves My Soul!

As we continue with the daily H.O.P.E.  from Psalm 121, the word preserve stands out to me in verse 7. Preserve means to protect and keep. The only one who can preserve us is the creator of our being. The maker knows what is needed to preserve us. He knows our end from the beginning. Therefore, our trust has to remain in Him, walking with Him, and allowing Him to do what only He can do. His keeping power is not temporary!

Today's H.O.P.E. - Look to the Hill's!

Some months ago I was struggling with fear when I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes. I had to have lots of testing done.  One day during that difficult time the Lord placed Psalm 121 on my heart. He is always right there when we need Him the most. He never leaves us; we leave Him. We get off track. We pull away from our relationship with Him due to our personal choices or life circumstances. Let us pray today that He will help us to place all of our trust in Him. He never fails!

Thursday's H.O.P.E. - God will raise up a people!

4/7/2016

Picture
All throughout biblical history, people turned away from serving God. In the midst of this turning away, God would always raise up one to speak His truth to the people. This is an example of God's grace. God knows that He designed us with a free will. He didn't want robots and He knew what it would take to reach us. I remember praying and asking God one day, "Lord why did you create us? We are so disobedient at times! We want what we want and that want is separate from You. So why did you create us, you didn't need us?" Then I heard a still small voice say to me, "I wanted a family."

Therefore, God continues throughout history to raise up men and women to speak His truth, so that He might redeem His family back to Himself.

Wednesday's H.O.P.E. - Satan's Lies!

I believe that society today truly resembles the above scripture. Just as the enemy deceived Eve into believing that she didn't need God if she had the knowledge of good and evil, the enemy is doing the same all around us. People have walked away from the foundation of our lives, God's Word. They are listening to the enemy whisper that they don't need God and that they have full control of their own lives. He is whispering that they are able to make the right decisions with God's intervention. However, one essential truth is left out by the enemy. God is greater than mankind! He is infinite! He created time and space and He is eternal. He knows our end from the beginning. We need His guidance. For without Him, we truly perish.

Tuesday's H.O.P.E. - Hold to God's Promises!

4/5/2016

There are some things that the Lord has promised us. One is soul salvation from our sins through Jesus Christ. All we have to do is surrender to Him and be made whole. God has also promised us some other things. We have to stand firm and trust what He has said. It doesn't matter what our past or others may say. It only matters what God said! He knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb.  He did it for Abraham and He will do the same for us!

Monday's H.O.P.E. - My Life is Not My Own!

God is our maker! The keeper of our very souls. In today's world, this statement is not very popular. We live in a very different time. Many have turned from God and His Word. I pray for our hearts to return to God as He spoke to Israel so many times in scripture. God hasn't changed, society has. Our lifeblood is still required by Him. There is killing, abuse, and other evils all around us. Could it be that we need a revival? This can't take place without God, our Maker. We must return to Him who is the author of life. We can't make it without Him! We need not worry; He will destroy evil. Let us be found in His will!

Friday's H.O.P.E. - Walk in Obedience!

4/2/2016

Picture
So often we desire for our family members to make the right choices and walk with God. However, this scripture made me look at things a little different. Could it be that God is waiting on our obedience so that He can move miraculously in the lives of our family members? There may be some that may not be willing to obey or even believe in God, but God can move on hearts and deliver as we get in place, walk in relationship with Him, and seek His face on their behalf.

Thursday's H.O.P.E. - Made in God's Image!

All too often, we see individuals that want to look like this person or have a shape like that person. We hardly ever see individuals that are content with who they are. Contrary to popular demand, we were created in God's image. This makes us beautiful just as we are! Outside of God, there is no image at all. Yes the world tries to delete God from our daily lives. This is done because the world understands that to be made in God's image means to submit the life that God gave to Him.
